Our evolution - ![1981](https://www.assets.bbaconsultants.com/bba-production-assets/production/images/_size_squared/6018/1981.webp) ## Where it all started Mr. Breton and Mr. Banville developed a strong bond while working at Shawinigan Engineering and shared the same vision: to provide high-level engineering expertise and cutting-edge solutions. In 2004, the firm set up offices in the Montréal downtown core and created a team specialized in mining and metals. With prime positioning in Québec, BBA decided to attack the Western Canada market. The firm officially opened an office in Vancouver in 2009, one in Calgary in 2012 and another in Edmonton in 2019. With this in mind, it pursued a series of acquisitions, namely Kawa Engineering Ltd. in 2017 and Biofilia Inc. in 2018.
