This milestone marks a shift from integration to acceleration. Over the past year, BBA has combined Tierra Group’s recognized U.S. and international expertise with its own multidisciplinary platform, bringing together engineering, environmental, advisory and project delivery capabilities to better serve complex, evolving projects.
“Over the last year, we’ve focused on building a strong foundation, aligning teams, expanding our capabilities and reinforcing our presence in key markets,” said Benoit Richard, VP – International Operations. "Today, we’re entering a new phase. We’re growing our team with intent and investing in the people and expertise that will shape what comes next.”
This significant step has also been recognized at the M&A Club Canada Awards Gala – Québec, where Dentons has been named a finalist in the Cross-Border Transaction of the Year category for its advisory role in BBA’s acquisition of Tierra Group International Ltd.’s U.S. and Peru business operations.
With a growing team in the United States, BBA is actively expanding its footprint in strategic regions, including the Intermountain West and Northeast, and reinforcing its ability to support clients throughout their full project life cycle—from early-stage studies to execution and operations.
Tierra Group’s established reputation and deep technical mining expertise remain central to this growth. Tierra Group team members continue to play a key role in delivering high-value solutions, now supported by BBA’s broader platform and network of over 1,600 professionals across the Americas.
“Joining forces with BBA has allowed us to expand the services we can offer to our clients while staying true to the technical excellence and client focus that defined Tierra Group,” said Pete Kowalewski, Tierra Group Founder and BBA Partner. “It’s an exciting time, and we’re just getting started.”
