The signed agreement outlines how the two organizations will work together while recognizing existing partnerships, based on a scope of work to pursue contract engineering projects in Ontario in a manner that will reflect respect and concern for the environment and the First Nation way of life.

About Missanabie Cree First Nation
Missanabie Cree First Nation is a signatory of Treaty 9. The Missanabie Cree had settled in the areas surrounding present day Missinaibi Lake, Dog Lake, Wabatongushi Lake, Oba Lake and Esanagi Lake and had utilized these lands from time immemorial to hunt, fish and trap for food, for ceremonial purposes and to provide for the cultural, spiritual and economic wellbeing of their people. The band has an outstanding entitlement to land under the terms of Treaty Nine. In 2010, the Missanabie Cree First Nation successfully concluded an agreement with the Government of Ontario for a land transfer of 15 square miles of Crown land in the Missanabie area which are in the final stages of the land transfer. Missinabie Cree First Nation is self-determined and is dedicated towards its vision for a self-sustaining community through Economic Development while honouring Traditional Environmental Stewardship.
