International Recognition for a BBA Expert

Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Québec, September 2, 2016 - The Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM) awarded Joël Kapusta a certificate of merit for a paper he collaborated on, which was published in the SAIMM journal in May 2015.

The review paper, entitled Sonic Injection Into a PGM Peirce-Smith Converter: CFD Modelling and Industrial Trials, and signed by six co-authors, was awarded a gold medal today by the SAIMM.

The award-winning paper is based on a project carried out by BBA in 2011 for the Lonmin Platinum smelter located in South Africa. This honour signifies that the SAIMM considers the paper a reference in the field of extractive metallurgy.
