The review paper, entitled Sonic Injection Into a PGM Peirce-Smith Converter: CFD Modelling and Industrial Trials, and signed by six co-authors, was awarded a gold medal today by the SAIMM. The award-winning paper is based on a project carried out by BBA in 2011 for the Lonmin Platinum smelter located in South Africa.
