We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Nicolas Echeverria as Director of BBA’s Santiago office.
Nicolas is a civil engineer and brings more than 18 years of experience in developing major mining and civil projects, with recognized expertise in geotechnical engineering and tailings management.
He has held strategic roles throughout his career, including Geotechnical Discipline Lead and Geotechnical and Tailings Manager, across several South American countries, including Chile, Argentina and Brazil. He has led multidisciplinary teams and overseen large-scale national and international projects, from conceptual studies through to field engineering. His expertise includes managing complex projects; leading geotechnical field and laboratory campaigns; performing materials characterization; carrying out stability and flow analyses; executing advanced modelling; and designing and analyzing seepage of TSFs, heap leach facilities and waste dumps.
At BBA, Nicolas will apply his leadership, deep knowledge of the South American market and extensive experience managing major projects to support the growth of our Santiago office and strengthen our partnerships in the mining and energy sectors.
