BBA is proud to announce the appointment of Julia Gartley as Office Director for its Vancouver operations.
Since joining BBA in 2019, Julia has made a significant impact in several leadership roles, including Principal Engineer – Mineral Processing, Team Lead and Vice-President – Safety and Sustainability. In this new role, she’ll be closer to day-to-day operations, motivated by a desire to stay connected to the realities of project delivery and client engagement. Her leadership will help expand our impact in the Vancouver region by building lasting client relationships and supporting innovation across our projects.

She also sits on the BBA Board of Directors, where she brings the perspective of both a professional engineer and an MBA. Julia is an active volunteer with several industry organizations, including Mine Shift and the industry advisory committees for both the University of British Columbia and Queen’s University. She’s widely recognized for her commitment to improving practices in mining and natural resources, particularly through efforts to foster safer, more inclusive and respectful workplaces.

From launching our first ESG strategy to advancing initiatives around safety, mental health and environmental stewardship, her contributions have helped strengthen the way our teams thrive.
