Powering a sustainable energy future requires not only technological innovation, but also diverse perspectives and inclusive collaboration across the industry. Through mentorship, networking and professional development initiatives, WiRE contributes to strengthening the renewable energy ecosystem and supporting the next generation of energy leaders.
Through activities spanning Canada and an expanding international network, WiRE advances collaboration, knowledge sharing and career development across the energy sector. In 2025 alone, the organization reached more than 800 participants through field activities, supported over 550 mentorship participants, helped launch more than 100 careers, and connected over 6,000 professionals through networking events.
“The energy transition requires not only technological innovation, but also an industry capable of attracting, developing and retaining diverse talent,” says Renée-Claude Turgeon, Chief People and Sustainability Officer, Management. “Partnering with WiRE is a natural extension of our commitment to fostering inclusive and collaborative environments that are essential to meeting today’s and tomorrow’s energy challenges.”
Through this partnership, BBA and WiRE share a common ambition: empowering talent, strengthening collaboration and helping build a more inclusive and sustainable energy future.
