BBA strengthens its Power and Renewables market offering with two new business lines

The Thermal Power Generation business line focuses on gas‑fired electricity generation, delivering reliable, utility-scale power solutions. It builds on BBA’s hands‑on experience with engine‑based thermal generation and expands our reach to include utility‑scale projects using both engines and turbines. This new business line highlights the depth of technical expertise developed by our teams and our ability to adapt to changing market needs, while complementing renewable energy solutions.

As BBA continues to diversify its offering across the project life cycle, the Independent Engineering Services – Power Assets business line supports investors and financial institutions involved in energy asset acquisitions, transfers and financing. Through independent technical due diligence and objective technical assessments, BBA further reinforces its position as a trusted technical advisor. The business line builds on the deep technical expertise built within BBA over decades and focuses this know-how towards independent engineering (IE) services for a financially focused client group.

Leadership of these business lines has been entrusted to professionals who are already deeply involved in building these capabilities at BBA. Jérémie Côté, Director, leads the Thermal Power Generation business line. With a background in mechanical engineering, Jérémie has developed strong expertise in hybrid, industrial and thermal energy solutions. Known for his collaborative leadership style, he combines technical depth with a clear focus on innovation, sustainability and practical project delivery. Since 2024, he has also played an active role in market development, helping position BBA for the next phase of growth in the Power and Renewables market.

Alexander Stickler, Director, leads the Independent Engineering Services – Power Assets business line. He brings more than 28 years of experience in consulting, manufacturing and the energy sector. He has led independent engineering and technical due diligence mandates worldwide for power developers, investors, lenders, insurers and industrial clients. His range of experience includes renewables, storage, hybrid energy and power transmission projects. A big‑picture thinker and business builder, Alexander is also deeply involved in technology commercialization and decarbonization initiatives, helping bridge the gap between technical excellence and investment decisions.
