JEE 3192

BBA is proud to announce the first recipients of our scholarships in collaboration with Indspire, a national Indigenous charity focused on First Nations, Inuit and Métis education. This initiative is part of our social impact strategy, reflecting our shared value of education within Indigenous communities.

  1. This year, we’re privileged to support two promising engineering students:

    • Nevin Hood from the Métis Nation of Alberta, studying at the University of Alberta
    • Lauren Papin from Greater Golden Lake, studying at the University of Western Ontario

Nevin and Lauren will each receive a $10,000 scholarship annually. Additionally, BBA will fund one new student each year, totalling $110,000 in scholarship investments over the next three years. This initiative is part of Indspire's Building Brighter Futures program.

“The work Indspire does would not be possible without the support of partners like BBA,” said Indspire’s President and CEO Mike DeGagné. “Not only does this generosity help us support more Indigenous learners on their educational journeys, it also represents a strong commitment to reconciliation through education—one which we hope will similarly inspire other organizations.”

As we commemorate National Indigenous Peoples Day, BBA renews its commitment to honouring Indigenous rights and preserving our environment. Our partnership with Indspire reflects our dedication to empowering Indigenous youth through education, alleviating financial barriers and fostering diverse talent. We believe education is the cornerstone of reconciliation, fostering inclusive environments and integrating Indigenous perspectives for mutual understanding and social acceptance. Together, we can achieve true reconciliation and build a brighter future for everyone through the power of education.
