BBA Wins Twice at the 2019 Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards Gala

Mont-Saint-Hilaire (Québec), October 30, 2019 – BBA was honoured twice yesterday at the 2019 Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards Gala held in Ottawa by the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies. The firm won two awards of excellence: one in the “Environmental Remediation” category for its carbon capture project with CO₂ Solutions, and the other in the “Natural Resources, Mining, Industry and Energy” category for designing a solar farm in Old Crow, Yukon, in collaboration with 3EYOND Consulting.

“These two projects demonstrate the positive environmental impact our solutions can have,” explains André Allaire, President of BBA. “From coast to coast, our team members are committed to supporting businesses in their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint by designing practical, safe and sustainable solutions.”

BBA also sponsors the Tree for Life award, presented yearly at the Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards gala to a consulting engineering firm that has stood out for its environmental stewardship. This award reflects the firm’s interest to recognize engineering contributions toward developing greener communities and was awarded this year to Morrison Hershfield for Kaliti Wastewater Treatment Plant and Sanitary Sewer Trunk Mains in Ethiopia.
